
- Extensive experience of XX years in reviewing assessments by child study team to identify learning, social, psychological and cognitive challenges of assigned students; developing individual learning plans for students based on their strengths and disabilities
- Fostering a positive classroom environment that will allow student learning, expression, and safety; setting-up high expectations for student performance; integrating school curriculum with individual learning plan; soliciting assistance from parents to reinforce study habits and minimize classroom disruptions
- Adept in constructing and administering appropriate assessments of learning; evaluating student performance and communicate with other schools staff regarding areas of need; collaborating with classroom teachers to facilitate performance of special ed. students who are mainstreamed
- Deft in conferring with general education teachers regarding the educational, social, emotional and physical needs and objectives of each student; planning, developing and implementing individualized learning plans for each student; designing appropriate teaching strategies
