- An Accomplished Nurse Midwife Possesses expertise in providing medical care and treatment to obstetrical patients under the supervision of an Obstetrician, delivers babies, and instructs patients in prenatal and postnatal health practices
- Extensive experience of XX years in examining patients during pregnancy, utilizing physical findings, laboratory test results, and patient's statements to evaluate the condition and ensure that patient's progress is normal; instructing patients in diet and prenatal health practices
- Experienced in delivering infants and performing postpartum examinations and treatments to ensure that patient and infant are responding normally; maintaining records of cases for inclusion in establishment file; obtaining medical history and conducting screening tests as ordered by the physician
- Skilled in assisting mothers-to-be in their labor processes through midwife nursing care; providing follow-up nursing care to new mothers and their babies; educating new mothers on breastfeeding, bathing, and dressing babies; instructing and educating mothers on related baby healthcare issues
- Following up established health center policies, procedures, and objectives; continuous quality improvement initiatives; safety, environmental, and infection prevention standards; decreasing the risk of needing a cesarean and reduced rates of labor induction and augmentation
