Psychiatric Technician
- Possess expertise in assisting mentally impaired or emotionally disturbed patients, working under the direction of nursing and medical staff; assisting with daily living activities, leading patients in educational and recreational activities, or accompanying patients to and from examinations and treatments
- Extensive experience of XX years in recording and maintaining patient information, such as vital signs, eating habits, behavior, progress notes, treatments, or discharge plans; listening and providing emotional support and encouragement to psychiatric patients
- Expert in managing complete physical checks and monitoring patients to detect unusual or harmful behavior and report observations to professional staff; restraining or aiding patients as necessary to prevent injury; serving meals or feeding patients needing assistance or persuasion
- Adept in ensuring the rooms should be clean and disinfected and furnishings to maintain a safe and orderly environment; providing mentally impaired or emotionally disturbed patients with routine physical, emotional, psychological, or rehabilitation care under the direction of nursing or medical staff
- Skilled in managing complete administrative tasks, such as entering orders into the computer, answering telephone calls, or maintaining medical or facility information; providing patients with assistance in bathing, dressing, or grooming, demonstrating these skills as necessary; maintaining patients' restrictions to assigned areas
- Deft in organizing, supervising, or encouraging patient participation in social, educational, or recreational activities; interviewing patients upon admission and recording information; accompanying patients to and from wards for medical or dental treatments, shopping trips, or religious or recreational events
