Court Reporter
- An Accomplished Court Reporter Highly experienced in verbatim transcription and reporting of court proceedings, verdicts, and orders; profound knowledge of court procedures, legal and medical terminology, and legal concepts
- Extensive experience of XX years in using traditional shorthand, stenograph, or ‘real-time’ computerized systems to make accurate records of the proceedings; attending court sessions
- Using machine shorthand to type phrases and/or whole words in single keyboard strokes; reading back transcripts to lawyers while in court as required
- Adept in transcribing speech into written records after court sessions; ensuring that records can be easily read and understood; correcting grammatical mistakes; preserving the original sense of what was said
- Skilled in creating verbatim transcripts of court proceedings, trials, and meetings using a stenographic; documenting conversations to create legal proof if they must be accessed and verified at a later date
- Good analytical writing style, excellent grammar, spelling, and general editorial skills; knowledge of legal terminology, medical terminology, grammatical construction, punctuation, and spelling
