Archaeologist
- An Accomplished Professional - Archaeologist possesses expertise in carrying out archaeological excavation and recording designated features/areas of larger sites to the required standard; providing project support to the team leader and undertaking post-excavation tasks as required
- Extensive experience of XX years in using a variety of methods to locate suitable excavation sites, including geophysical surveys and aerial photography; examining, documenting, and preserving artifacts; producing and maintaining written, and photographic; drawing records and electronic databases
- Offering an exciting combination of historical research and field investigations; skilled in conducting initial research and field surveys and excavations designed to identify whether any heritage assets might be present
- Adept in coordinating and monitoring cultural resource surveys performed by contractual consultants; evaluating; performing survey results to assess the impact of various alignments on cultural resources; developing programs of interpretation of archaeology
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of archaeology; knowledge of methods of archaeological site restoration; knowledge of historical site research; understanding of the techniques of archaeological excavation and the processing and analysis of artifacts
- Ability to conduct archaeological research projects; process and analyze artifacts and other archeological objects; capability to relate archaeological findings to historical facts; ability to prepare research reports
