Horticulture Gardening
- A competent, physically fit, and hardworking horticulturist/gardener; proven a track record of creating and maintaining gardens, lawns, and parks that are tidy, environmentally friendly, and safe possessing comprehensive knowledge of botany and horticulture, as well as the various planting seasons for trees, vegetables, and flowers; comfortable with working in all weathers and seasons
- Extensive experience of XX years in planting, fertilizing, irrigating, staking, pruning, removing plants, and other general gardening duties, etc.; prioritizing and accomplishing daily individual assignments
- Skilled in providing information and interpretation of the site’s garden history, horticulture, and plant conservation to engage and inform site visitors and to promote the site’s horticultural preservation and development
- Adept in exercising sound judgment in balancing competing demands, operational needs, and priorities to ensure tasks and activities are completed, maintenance and special project and event schedules are met
- Sound knowledge in plant chemistry, biochemistry, physics, and genetics; understanding of operating greenhouse and nursery; creative landscape design knowledge; propagation, maintenance, and propagation of plants
- Profound knowledge of pesticide management and application procedures; extensive knowledge of operation and maintenance of flood irrigation systems
- Thorough knowledge of chemical plants, and modern biological and pest control methods; in-depth knowledge of the requirements of deserts and sub-tropical plants; familiar with the installation of landscape and irrigation systems
- Demonstrate accuracy; display a commitment to excellence and a keen eye for garden detail; ability to fulfill the Garden’s plant collection and plant records policies
